We are proud owners of Home For Mom And Dad ALF. We are a husband-and-wife team inspired by our experience as family caregivers to their parents. After placing our mother in 3 different facilities, we realized how our aging parents should be cared for more appropriately. This experience made us think about developing a better housing solution for our aging parents and how they should be cared for.
Owner
Ben Arcenal & Elena Arcenal
My name is Ben, and I have a Bachelors Degree in Nursing. I specialized in Psychiatric Nursing. I worked and managed psychiatric hospitals for 18 years, and then I realized that my expertise is more needed to care for the elderly. I have been doing this now for 19 years.
My wife Elena has a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering. She was also a leader in her field and recently resigned from her work at ZF North America to help me with this endeavor. Both of us are passionate about providing appropriate care to our elderly. Our combined experiences in life and our professions have shaped the core values of Home For Mom and Dad LLC.
Our first experience as providers was at our small license for 6 ALF in Livonia, Michigan, where we learned and experienced how to provide better care for our elderly. My mother was our first patient, who paved the way for us to start this business. Over the past 10 years, we have learned a lot and become successful in what we do with the help of our compassionate staff.
